The Whitehead Metaphysical Society  -  Membership

       Among the members of the Whitehead Metaphysical Society there are: fellows, honorary members and supporting members.

Fellows

    Anyone is allowed to solicit for the membership. In order to do so, it is necessary to submit declaration in a written form and have the positive opinion of two other members.

    This declaration is understood as an expression of will to contribute to the Society’s activities, which are officially and lawfully stated in Society’s Goal and Charter.

    Decision of admitting a candidate to the Society is made by the Board in a resolution.

    Fellow has the right to participate in Society’s life. In particular it is the right to:

• participate in any kind of meeting and scientific conference organized by the Society, to contribute to the activities of the Society's sections;
• vote;
• official support when applying for a grant;
• propose in any case connected with the Society's life;
• recommendation, guarantees and care of the Society in all activities connected with its goals;
• use for free all scientific materials, technical devices, tutorials, and any other possibilities that Society provides for its members.

    Fellow of the Society is obligated to obey the Charter’s rules, regulations and resolutions of the Society’s Board, to support any  king of activity, that effects with the grow of Society’s role and meaning. Fellow of the Society is also obligated to pay the membership fee. The yearly amount is establish at the General Meeting. At the moment it is 100,00 PLN (30 euro).

Honorary membership

    Honorary membership can be admitted to the person particularly deserved for philosophy or for the Society. Honorary member has no right to vote.

Supporting membership

    Supporting membership can be granted to the physical or legal person, who supports the Society materially or in any other way. Decision of admitting to the supporting membership is made by the Society’s Board. Supporting member has no right to vote.
